Default PvE Spearchucker

Attributes:

Spear Mastery - 12
Expertise - 10 + 1 + 1
Beast Mastery - 8 + 2

Weapons: I use a Zealous spear, but I rarely have energy problems, so that may not be necessary, and the shield/focus is entirely optional.

Skills:
[skill=text]Spear of Lightning[/skill]
[skill=text]Slayer's Spear[/skill]
[skill=text]Blazing Spear[/skill]
[skill=text]Ferocious Strike[/skill]
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Never_Rampage_Alone
[skill=text]Comfort Animal[/skill]
[skill=text]Charm Animal[/skill]
[skill=text]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

It might not be as effective as [skill=text]Searing Flames[/skill], but it's pretty fun, very mobile, and has decent damage output.

Get Spear Mastery to 11, Expertise to 11+1+1 (so it's at breakpoint)
I use Barbed Spear, Spear of Lightning, Poisonous Bite, Heal as One, Predatory Bond, Run as One, Charm Animal, Sunspear Rebirth Signet. It's quite effective in Hard mode too :] But I'll try your build.

If you put together a proper spear Ranger, expertise is useless, since you don't use stances from the line, and the energy is almost not even used.

Disrupting Spear
Barbed Spear
Merciless Spear
Heal as One
Tiger's Fury
Charm Animal
(Optional)
Res Sig of choice.

This build doesnt even need expertise, so its interchangeable between P/R or R/P. In PvE, I used a High Expertise and the PvE only skill Never Rampage Alone! instead of Tiger's Fury and I brought "GfTE!" and raised command to 10(For my shield to be totally effective). This is totally optional, since most probably don't run anything to make their shields more useful. Also, if you are running Command, go with [skill=card]Vicious Attack[/skill] instead of Merciless.

Just my thoughts.

Your forgetting Spear of Fury. Great for adren gain once you pass r4.

I don't see why you both are using Heal as One in PvE. This isn't a build for Hero Battles, and does not follow any guidelines as to a being a "proper spear ranger". I can assure you my build has 2x, maybe 3-4x more damage than yours, which is much more useful to have in PvE.

I don't mean to be rude, but I wouldn't waste my elite on defense, especially when you're a midliner.
